What Does The Q-Redew Do?
The Q-Redew hair steamer is multi-purpose. The Q-Redew steam warms and softens the hair to enhance a deep conditioning session, detangle, stretch, refresh & restyle. The Q-Redew can be used on all hair textures however the intended goal will depend on hair texture ie tighter textures more often detangle and stretch. Where as those with a looser textures will find the value of steam to refresh & restore volume, and deep condition.

Will the Q-Redew Cause Heat Damage?
The steam is warm and adds moisture to the hair. Unlike the blow dryer and flat iron, which are dry heat and remove moisture form the hair causing damage.

Will the Q-Redew help my high porosity hair?
The Q-Redew steam can be beneficial for high porosity hair to detangle, stretch, restyle and reshape without the need to saturate the hair with water. The softening and warming of the hair with the steam provide enough moisture to safely and effectively manipulate the hair. As we know while high porosity hair takes in moisture easily it also loses moisture easily. Once the hair is steamed, it is a good time to apply a cream to lock in the added moisture.
Since high porosity hair absorbs moisture easily it is not always necessary to apply steam to enhance a deep conditioning session, as one would with low porosity hair, to achieve product absorption. However this is something you can experiment with to see how your hair benefits from the added steam. You may find that your hair does in fact increase absorption of your deep conditioner with steam.

Will the Q-Redew help my low porosity hair?
Q-Redew steam is great for low porosity hair because it temporarily opens the hair cuticles to allow moisture to penetrate the hair strand. Without the steam the product tends to just sit on the LP hair strand. We recommend 1) cleanse 2) if thick, section hair 3) apply DC to section 4) steam from root to end a few passes each section 5) you will feel hair become warm, soft, and product absorbed into hair- it doesn't take long 6) rinse.
Q-Redew steam warms and softens the hair to allow for safe manipulation without damage or needing to saturate the hair and allow for drying time. You can detangle, stretch, restyle between cleansing days on dry hair. Also great for enhancing a deep conditioning treatment. The steam temporarily opens the cuticle allowing for the treatment to penetrate the hair shaft.

Is there a warranty on the Q-Redew?
Warranty: We do have a one year warranty.Most often the unit needs to be cleared of debris and minerals. The Q-Redew now comes with a flushing kit to flush clear. For the older units with no flushing kit we can provide one upon request! Contact us at support@qredew.com for help.
