What Is the Puppuccino? The Puppuccino (pronounced PUP-uuh-CHEE-noh) is a short cup or espresso cup full of Starbucks whipped cream. Dogs without dairy intolerances can enjoy a safe and delicious treat whenever you get your own morning coffee. And even better, the Puppuccino is always free!

According to Starbucks, “Our whipped cream contains cream, milk, mono and diglycerides, and carrageenan.” Mono and Diglycerides, which are fats that serve as stabilizers – to provide a consistent texture and prevent separation.

In small amounts, cinnamon is safe for dogs, but it's not necessary for their diet. Cinnamon has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties beneficial to dogs. Some dogs may find the strong smell and taste of cinnamon off-putting. Avoid giving your dog cinnamon in large amounts, as it can irritate the mouth.

Additionally, Puppuccinos contain large amounts of lactose, which cats struggle to digest. A pup cup should not be part of a cat's healthy diet, but many enjoy the creamy taste. Ask your barista for a cat-sized portion so your cat doesn't overindulge, but even a small amount could upset your cat's stomach.

Your dog can drink some herbal teas in moderation. Dogs can drink: chamomile, ginger, echinacea, rooibos and peppermint tea, however, fresh water is a better and more suitable choice. Before offering any of these drinks to your pet, make sure to ask your vet if this is a good idea.
