How many times can you call in sick at Kaiser? ›

No sick leave per say. Call in advance if you're sick. They are very strict with sick calls. 120 hrs per year.

Promptly notify your employer

For example, you might need to call in sick two hours before your scheduled start time to ensure your company can make plans. If you feel sick the night before work, you can consider notifying your employer in the evening.

There are no permanent federal sick leave laws in place that require employers to provide paid sick leave to their teams—but there are many laws at the state and local level that do. If you live in an area where laws mandate your employer provide paid sick leave, your employer can't fire you for using that sick leave.

There is no legal upper limit to how long you can be off sick before any disciplinary and dismissal action will be taken against you. This will depend on the terms of any sickness absence policy and the facts involved.

Normally, 12 sick days might not ring any alarm bells. An employee could legitimately require 12 days off due to severe illness or surgery. But a sick day every month just before a weekend does suggest a pattern of undesirable behaviour.
